Nameless

Call me nameless

Because the letters that pour from your mouth

Once I could have sworn were familiar

Look like sin falling from your lips

And who are you

To call me from the name

My mother gave me

And who are you

To use them against me like a curse

Like profanity to shame me

When they were given to me

Out of love, out of a future I never asked for

So call me nameless

Because unless you know the one behind the letters

You will never know how to say them
