The skeleton in my closet

As time moves further on,

Grows more fierce and dark

And with every day that passes by

I push it into the deep confines

Of the dark box in my head

But when the world seems to drift away

And the more alone I seem to be,

The dark creature that became attached

Once-upon-a-time, becomes more and more

The only thing that brings

Like a kind of comfort –

It’s boney hand held out in welcome

And though created from the darkness

It pulls me close and tight

So when I am left alone,

I am alone to dance

With the skeleton in my closet
